Off White Glass Beaded Vintage Evening Bag
This lovely little number is the perfect "go to" bag for so many fashions and occassions. It features thousands of tiny white glass beads with a center swirling design done in off white bugle beads. A beaded hand strap is attached to the frame. The purse measures approx. 7 1/2" wide, by 5 1/2" tall. The strap drops 5". The exterior of the purse is in excellent condition with no missing beads. On initial inspection, I thought the purse was missing some beads near the clasp, but it appears to be the same on both sides, so I believe it was designed that way. A few of the beads have darks spots in them, which doesn't detract from the beauty of the bag, but is noted for accuracy. The interior of the purse is lined with cream color satin and has several stains and marks. The interior has a slash pocket and is signed Made in Japan. I thoroughly air my vintage bags and store them with scented sachets to dispel any lingering age odor. While most people find the clean scent pleasant, I disclose it in case of allergies. The bypass clasp with rhinestones is in fine working order, and this versatile evening bag is in overall Very Good condition.
